Is there a tripod that would work with a Nikon DSLR and a Flip Cam?
I'm looking for a sturdy tripod that folds up and works with multiple cameras, so that I'll only need one. I'm having trouble figuring out one that will work with the camera I have and the ones I'm saving up for. Right now I have a Fujifilm digital camera and I'm hoping for a Nikon DSLR and a Flip Cam, so I'd like the tripod to work with these three. Any suggestions would really help.
The tripod thread is standardized on nearly every consumer video camera and camera. You should have no problems picking a tripod that works. Depending on your budget, I recommend Sunpak, Silk, and Monfrotto brand tripods.
All cameras in the genres you listed us the same tripod mounting screw.
Just get one that is sturdy enough to hold your Nikon dSLR and eventually a telephoto lens, a total of perhaps 7 pounds.
If you want a "table top" tripod, something like the Groillapod

All modern tripods will work with all modern cameras. Nothing to worry about. They have standardized the screw size.
- Camera that would be good for vlogs that has a flip screen and is not to expensive?
- Ken Rockwell rated the nikon d3000 as the worst dslr ever, and the d40 a much better cam?
- What are good DSLR cameras under $500 with an external mic and flip out screen?
- Affordable cameras with BOTH flip screen and video auto focus?
- Looking for consumer DSLR camera w/ swivel flip screen. Any suggestions?
