Is the Cannon SX530 a decent camera?

Found this to be in my budget and want to know if anybody has any opinions on it. I just want to know what quality pictures it takes but I won't be taking any professional pictures or anything like that. Just need a basic but decent camera.

Yes it is a decent P&S camera, but it is NOT a cannon. Cannons shoot cannon balls.

If you spend some time on the Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Panasonic and Fujifilm websites you will see which of those cameras best suit your needs.

Pick three or four brands and models and then visit a shop that has those cameras in stock. Hold them and practice using the cameras menu. Some will be more intuitively to you than others.
