Ipad 2 or nikon camera?

What would you do? I'm confused on what to get.

Ipad 2! I had the nikon camera it sucks really really really bad and has the worst quality.

I would get an ipad i've seen that they take nice pics but of course it depends if your looking for quality pics which would go for the camera or if your looking for pics plus everything an i pad has well then the ipad: )

IPhone, iPad, Blackberry, it doesn't matter, they are all low grade cameras.

These devices typically have very tiny 1/6" sensors in them - not good for much.

Even the least expensive compact cameras - Nikon or any other brand, use a 1/2.3" or 1/2.5" sensor, which has at least 7 times the surface area. DSLRs have even larger sensors, and have 100 to 200 times the surface area.

A larger sensor will take a better photo - especially in low light conditions.

It amazes me that so many people favor the tiny cameras in iPhones and iPads over even basic cameras. But then again, quality is not often the most desirable feature - convenience is I suppose.

That is much the same as asking: "Should I buy a horse or a garden shed"?

Surely you don't expect any half (or even eighth) decent images from an iPad?

Do you need/want to take photos, or play with apps and surf the web on a very nifty little wanna-be laptop?

I think you should buy nikon camera
