My dad will be giving me a gift this January, since he didn't give me one this Christmas. Now there are two things I badly want, the iPad 2 and a Digital Single- Lens Reflex camera (DSLR). Guys, I'm just very confused since I badly want both! So I just thought of asking you guys your opinions. Please guys! What do you think should I choose? The iPad 2 or the Nikon D3000? Thanks in advance guys! Every opinion will count!

The iPad thing isn't that great of an investment, but that's just me. The D3000 has been replaced by the D3100 (which is better). The camera can help you learn a new skill, the iPad can't. The camera will last you 5 or 6 years and the Ipad will be obsolete by next Christmas.

The answer would depend on what you like to do the most. Take good pictures or use an iPad to do things on line. An iPad does not take pictures as good as the camera can and it does not give you as many things as a computer can. It does have some nice things on it but ut all depends on what you want it for.

For example, you can't open up anything that needed a flash player, you restricted to what apple allows.

I happen to love my iPad2, but I don't really use it often because I also have an iPhone and Macbook. However, if you know you have a use for the iPad then it could also be a good investment. My godmother uses hers for EVERYTHING, and turned her laptop into a stay at home kind of computer. As for the camera, if you're into photography and would use it OFTEN, I'd say go with that. But if you're just going to be using it for fun, or at events and such, I'd just get a cheaper camera and go with the iPad. Tough decisions!
