I'm looking for a new camera.for videos and pictures

My sister has a nikon something or other. She is a photographer, and its a really nice camera. I don't want something that nice, but i don't want just a digital camera. I want something that will take really good pictures, but also something that will take good videos with good sound. Please leave a link if you know of a good one.

There's lots of bridge cameras out that do very nice stills and video both. Sound… Well there's an on board microphone but the audio isn't the best - passable for the average user but it's noting near a professional sound so what you get is what you get.

Here's a good place to shop for just about every camera made. I won't recommend a dslr because you said you didn't want one.

How much are you looking to spend?

I'd suggest the Nikon P300. The picture quality is good, takes great quality videos but the sound might not be as good. But the thing is you get what you pay for. Overall its a good camera for everyday use. Read this review to help you get more about this camera:
