I hace a Nikone D5500. When I video it starts counting down from 6 secs then stops filming. How do I make it film until I stop it?

Press button to start, press again to stop. Use at least a Class 6 SDHC card to record for around 20-30 minutes. If you want longer than that, use a digital camcorder.

If you only have six seconds of recording time this means that your card is either too small or Full width data. Clear out the card and try to again. Upon clearing the card for Will that by formatting the card with the camera's format feature. Never use any other device to format a cord that you are going to be using in the camera otherwise he will corrupt the file system. It must be with the camera. After you format the card if you were still getting six seconds or you need to use a faster car. Make sure the card you were using as a class 10. With the class 10 card you should get no more than about 12 minutes of 1080 P recording time which means if you need longer than 12 minutes you have to lower the resolution

You can't film until you stop it if you expect to exceed 30 minutes. All digital still cameras have a built in limit of 30 minutes, it has something to do with import taxes. Another limit you may find is that the camera will shut off if it overheats.

The 6 seconds limit is likely due to your memory card. Card needs to be freshly formatted and at least a Class 6 or preferably a Class 10 or higher card.
