I'm seeing colored horizontal lines on my Nikon D3100

I got a refurbished Nikon in the mail today. It was great, until I notices horizontal lines on my pictures. They showed up when I synced the pictures to my computer as well. I live over seas and I ordered it so it would take a long to time to send it back then receive a new one. If there anyway I can fix it here with out that hassle?

Try another memory card, usually lines across the images are caused by old or bad cards.
