Front screen?

I have been a photographer for over 35 years and have never seen a "front screen"

Look in your user manual and see what that part of the camera is really called and when you do, let us know which model camera you have.

If the scratch is on the LCD, then just don't worry about it. It will not affect the images you are shooting.

Why is it you did not put the screen protector (not protester) on the camera?

Assume that the scratch is on the LCD screen. Actually it is not a worry as it will not affect the image quality. Only thing is that it will become a bit of obstacle while viewing images.

It is better if you install the screen protector As soon as possible.

Put a thin hair line of Vaseline over the scratch and rub the excess of the Vaseline or petroleum jelly with a cotton swab. The petroleum jelly gets fixed inside the scratch and it will cover the scratch till 90%. Since the density of Vaseline more closely matches with the LCD screen rather than air filling. One more thing is that, you should also be careful of not spreading it to other parts of screen as it can offer finger marks and sometimes damage the screen.

Operate carefully.

Home remedy is to apply a thin layer of toothpaste on the scratched surface and after 2 minutes rub it off with your fingers. Remember to be gentle while doing so as rough usage or pressing of screen can cause damage to the LCD screen.

You can also use baking soda mixed with water and make it into a thick paste and rub it on the surface. This will also help in removing the scratch to almost 70%.

Remember toothpaste, Vaseline and baking soda paste can only lessen the scratch effect to almost 85% the most.

But it will be useful, if you carefully apply them.

Thanks n hope this answer helps you in one way or the other.

First i would like to clear this up to you.a front screen is what you see in samsung st100.

the cheapest way you can conceal it is to buy a screen protector or just get it replaced at the Nikon service center to ensure quality and durability…
