How to know if my Nikon N50 works?
I came across a really great bargain today. I found a NIkon N50, that came with a case, lens caps, lens cleaner, a weird lens, something called "The Changer" made by cokin creative filters, and even an instruction manual. Inside there were already batteries and yes it turns on! Nothing seems off except the part where my right fingers are suppose to go, is a bit sticky. Is there anything else I need to be looking for?
Added (1). It's a film camera:-)
Charge it up. Put a memory card in it. Take a couple of photos. Look at the LCD screen!
Here is the user manual

"The Changer" is a filter, NOT the lens. Remove it to see what lens is on your camera
Spray a very tiny amount of Armour All (for cars) on a clean piece of cloth then use it wipe the right hand grip clean. Only work on the rubber parts, never on the lens). The grip will be slippery at first but with enough use, will get back to it's old self.
To really test the camera, load film and take some shots. Set to P mode, then shoot to your heart's content or until the last frame count. You can do it without film and check for change of settings from dark to light and see if AF works from close-up to infinity.
