How to get pictures and video off my old cell phone to my computer?

I have a Nokia E71x. I have important pictures on it I would like to keep. I have no SIM card for it. I plugged a mini usb in it but my computer can't find any pictures to transfer. Help! I have tried using Windows, Picasa, and Nikon Transfer to find them.

Use the file manager on your phone to mark and move the images to a memory card, and then insert the memory card into your pc if you have a card reader. Or, bluetooth the images to your pc if its bluetooth capable, or to another phone. You don't need an active sim card to do any of these things.
