Help finding a good camera?
So I'm trying to save up for a good camera but I don't know what to get. I'm really into photography and stuff so I want something that takes really good pictures and zooms in pretty far. I have 293$ so far and I'm still saving. Nothing over 500$ though. I'm not familiar with any brands other than Nikon but if you can think of another brand that's good then that'll be fine too.
I'm also thinking of someday buying an old camera (maybe an old Polaroid) that takes kind of vintage/grungy pictures so if you guys can give me an estimate on how much one of those will cost, where to look, and what cameras work good.
The Samsung Galaxy Camera. My friend has it, and he says it's amazing, and all money worth. He let me try it, and I can say to you, it was pretty cool! You should get some more information about it. I promise you, it's amazing
You can get a Nikon D3100 or Canon Rebel T3 for around $450 at this time. Both come with the now standard 18-55mm lens. Both good cameras to start with. No zoom though.
The vintage/grungy look you're talking about is due to images being stored for decades, not the camera - there are a number of ways to fake the effect afterwards.
You could almost certainly afford a bridge camera right now - their small sensors can struggle a bit in low light, but they'll give you all the zoom you want, and most have manual controls if you want to get creative. Fujifilm and Panasonic (Lumix) are better than Nikon here, at a lower price.
No Polaroid camera is worth having.
Zoom in this one is just decent not outrageous but what it lacks in that department, it makes up and goes over the others with its superb optical quality. Then there's ease of use which makes you get great pictures all the time as long as you remember to use it under lots of light.

If you want a good camera for around $300 USD or less try Canon SX500 and if you can save up to $400 then Canon SX50.
