Help finding a camera?
I really really wanted the D3000 for my birthday but my mom found out that the camera isn't made anymore. I found some available on techforless.com but I was wondering if there's any other camera like the D3000 either a Nikon or Canon, around $400 that I could look into in case I or my parents can't find the D3000. I'm really just looking for an DSLR at the very least.
Amazon has the D3100 marked down to $499.
If you can find a D3000, go with it - it's a very nice piece of kit at the price.
Nikon don't really do obsolete, so spares and repairs won't be a problem for a long time.

That link is the link to a nikon D3000 in excellent condition (which is very high seeing as they rate it very conservatively) for $235
it is only the camera body but you could purchase a lens separately on the same site, it is used but alot of stuff on that website are in excellent condition.
