Has anyone found a lost Nikon F2 in Frankin, TN?
This is kind of a strange place to ask this question, I know. Anyway, I live in an apartment in Cool Springs (Franklin, TN) and have lost my Nikon F2 Photomic SLR camera rig. The camera case is an OD green army surplus metal ammo box with a USMC EGA sticker on one side and "CARTRIDGE 7.62mm… " etc. On the other. It has a top carrying handle. Inside is the F2 camera body, lenses and various other trivial accessories.
If anyone in Franklin, TN has found this, please let me know. I will be happy to meet you and there will be a cash reward.
Thanks,
J
Added (1). Thanks, Patricia! I've already done a number of those steps and have considered a couple more on your list. Ironically, I hadn't yet thought to contact the police. I've been keeping tabs on eBay and Craigslist; contacted the places I'd been in the past month or so; alerted the local camera shop; contacted the apartment office; and have printed up flyers (though haven't posted them yet).
Like I said, I know Y! A is a weird place to ask but I'm just trying to cover all my bases.
Thank you again for your time and thorough suggestions.
Since Y! A is an international forum, there's little likelihood that the person who found your camera would see it posted here.
You are more likely to get it back by:
1. Put a notice on all bulletin boards and elevators in the apartment complex. Be sure to put "REWARD" at the top.
2. Notify the complex manager.
3. If you think it was taken, not just lost, file a report with the police.
4. Check pawn shops if you have the serial number.
5. Put an ad in the newspaper
6. Put an ad on Craigslist under Nashville.
