Good digital camera for a newbie to digital cameras?
My Mom used to take lovely photo's with her 35mm, she said it had the f-stops and all that. I don't really understand camera talk, sorry ^^; She had to stop for a few years because of her eyes but there on the mend and I want to buy her a camera, as a gift.
She's never used a digital, so I thought something simple would be good, but not to simple that she can't take photo's like she used too. If that makes any sense to you, please give me a brand, style, name of what you think would be best.

Thanks Since she is used to using a fully adjustable 35 mm SLR, the one of the entry level digital SLR cameras would be a great choice.
The move from using a 35 mm SLR to a digital SLR is seamless with some advantages which your mother will recognize right a way
Make sure that she is part of the process which helps you choose her first digital camera
At present, you can find refurbished, entry level digital SLR cameras for under $450 with a standard zoom lens like the Nikon D3200 purchased directly from Nikon.
But sit down with your mom and take a look at the available cameras on the Nikon, Pentax and Canon and have her read what features they have. While you do not understand "camera talk", you mother does. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...amera.html" class='ext_link'>http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...amera.html
