Good camera to vlog with?

I want to start vlogging, but I don't know which camera to get. What do most vloggers use? Nikon? Canon?

I do a spot of vlogging here and there and I know that a lot of top YouTube vloggers (Nigahiga for example) use DSLRs for vlogging, simply because they are quite good value for money and the lenses allow for some great angles/shots, ranging from simple front on shots to more elaborate "sketches".

The Nikon D3100 is a great starter DSLR for video, it does 1080p HD and its in MPEG for easy video editing. I own one and highly recommend it because it's easy to use and relatively good for all levels of photography/videography skill.
