Which Nikon DSLR Camera Is Best D800/800E OR D610?
Can you tell me which Nikon DLSR is best D800/800E or D610 for Fashion/Modelling shoot, Sport & Wildlife! Thou i have research many article there pro/cons but still having confusion.
Updated are the attributes of each camera that would help or hurt me.
D610 PRO:
-Faster post-processing due to file size. (But my PC is 'beefy' enough to handle either camera.)
-A better walk around camera?
-U1/U2 settings
D610 CONS:
-Not as ruggedly built as the D800.
-Poor Auto Focus capability compared to D800. HUGE problem. I'm taking a BIG step back coming from 51-point AF from my D300.
-Smaller RAW files for landscape work.
D800 PRO:
-Better Auto Focus. I do take pics of moving subjects. Often not dead center of the frame.
-Larger RAW files for Landscape work. (But, I might only print BIG, BIG-larger than 13x19"-perhaps 6 times a year).
-Higher dynamic range (I think) vs. D600?
-Higher build quality/weather sealing. (Last year I was under a waterfall in India, so this is important for me.)
-Better low light capabilities than D600?
-If I can master it and improve my technique/discipline I would get a lot more mileage out of the D800.
D800 CONS:
-More expensive accessories. Extended warranty, wireless remote, etc.
-No U1/U2 settings. PITA to switch.
My heart wants a D800, but my head says D610. Thoughts?
Go with your heart. It is the path to happiness.
I'm not convinced that you really know what you are doing…
Questions like this display a high level of inexperience… If you were ready to make the type of investment you are asking about… Then you wouldn't be asking the question…
Don't be offended… I'm actually trying to help you…
For studio work, i'd use a camera that was dedicated to studio work, and leave it in the studio… I'd have a second camera that I used for everything else, and a third camera just to back up the second… If you knew your stuff… You'd know that this is the normal practice for anyone seriously interested in photography… It isn't cheap… That doesn't mean that this level of investment isn't worthwhile.
An experience photographer will not be deterred by the "cons" you listed.
I'm planning on replacing my three Nikon bodies during the next year.
I'm going to be purchasing a Nikon D800E for when I'm shooting in the studio or need super high resolution
I will also be buying a Nikon Df so that I can use some of the old classic lenses from the early 1970's forward without needing any kind of adapter. It will also be the camera I use when shooting in low light.
When the replacement for the Nikon D300 arrives, I will be replacing my work horse that has been performing splendidly for over seven years.
My head says buy the D800 or better the D800E
Nikon D800E DSLR Camera is the best one among these.
