Where can I find the Nikon D600 at the cheapest price?
If you are a owner of D300/D300s - Would this be a good upgrade? (D300s owner) I'm thinking about buying the nikon d600, I read reviews and everything is good. I'm looking for a good place to get it.
Also, please share your experience with the D600! I'm very excited for this Nikon Digital SLR camera to be in my hands already
The D600 is far too new for any discounts and the grey market shops and switch and bait bunch have yet to get their hands on one or more
I use a D300 and I'm waiting for the D400. As a working pro, I have one D300 and one D3 and use them under different conditions. Pros will always need one cropped sensor camera to extend the reach of their group of lenses.
If I did not already have a full frame camera, the D600 would be a nice addition to my D300.
When the D400 is introduced, I will certainly consider buying it.
The D600 promises to be a hot seller. And it's recent release means you would not be able to obtain any discount. In fact, supplies may be limited depending on what the demand is for it. So if you find one, buy it.
Also, if you live in the US, realize that Nikon US has held dealers feet-to-the-fire on not providing discounts. So the only discount you will probably see is on grey market D600s.
When I got my D600, I used a coupon from http://nikond600.betterconcepts.net
Overall, I have been using it for a couple of days now. I received the D600 a few days ago and I have been very pleased with the camera's performance. I upgraded from the D7000 and I think that has made the transition very straight forward.
In my opinion, the D600 is essentially a D7000 with a full frame sensor and the other attributes that go along with the larger sensor such as the additional megapixels and the increased sensitivity. I think the camera feels fine. I know some have commented on it being plastic in some parts and yes, it does not have a heavy metal feel, nor does it have that weight either, which I find nice. I think as composite materials become more common place such as graphite and plastic hybrid materials, people will be more accepting of them.
Even with the D600 materials, the camera still feels solid for me. The picture quality is very good. Just the same, I thought the D7000 took excellent pictures too so I wouldn't expect a significant increase in picture quality from the move to the D600. The additional megapixels should help if you find yourself in a position where you have to crop quite a bit.
