When is Nikon d4 upgrade coming out?

I really want a D4, but it's out of my range by about £600 pounds. The price won't drop much if a newer D4x/s comes out but it will still be enough… Any ideas when the upgrade comes/will an upgrade come?

How about a nice Nikon D3100 or Canon Rebel T3? I'm 110% sure you don't need a pro level D4, nor a D3s/x…
For a professional photographer, 600 pounds one way or another isn't going to matter.

The scuttlebutt is there will be a D610, a D5300, and a yet to be determined DSLR to come out by year's end - perhaps a D4x.

Nikon typically upgrades at least one of their high-end full frame DSLRs just before every Olympics, so look for something prior to Feb 2014.

But if there's a D4x, I would look for that camera to be in addition to the current D4, not replacing it - but to complement it - in a similar fashion to the D3s/D3x pairing. So I would not look for any price discounts.

It would make sense that Nikon would concentrate on consumer products for xmas and pro products for the the Olympics.

That price difference is an all-new dSLR altogether already. Whatever camera you can get, I'm pretty sure it will be great. Just be contented with the thought that it's not the camera but the user that make pictures look great. The camera after all is only a tool.
