Using Tamron 28-75mm on a Nikon D300s?

I'm looking at buying the Tamron AF 28-75mm for my Nikon D300s.
I'm assuming you need an adapter for the lens to work on the nikon…
Does anybody know of any good adapters?

Also, if you have this lens, how do you like it?

Tamron is a third party lens maker, meaning they make lenses for Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc. Just buy the lens with the Nikon mount and it will work 100%

now, if you can, I suggest buying Nikkor instead of Tamron

Why would you need an adapter? Tamron makes a version of that lens specifically for Nikon cameras… Check out B&H photo.com or adorama.com to find the specific model #. (Nikon bodies don't have an AF motor… The lenses contain them, so you have to get a Nikon-specific model for it to fit and work properly)

If you BUY it for a Nikon it will work without an adapter. Buy the right mount and it works just fine

The Tammy 28-75 is a very good lens it isn't perfect but no lens is. But it is light used right really sharp and you'll love it. The images you get, well the technical quality is very nice! Not to mention its light weight it makes is a perfect little lens on your camera.

Remember though it isn't really wide. For that there's the 17-50. I self found I don't really uses that width. But some people do and for those I suggest the 17-50. Same level of build same kind of quality you can expect. They are a small happy family together.

Oh and for those people who are going to be "Buy FIRST BRAND ONLY". Price. Gentleman and Ladies the Tammy 28-75 is a much loved lens even by pro's… It is reviewed well and yes it is not a first brand, it isn't Nikkor I know. For its money you get more then you pay for. Finding anything like this from Nikkor is going to be allot more expensive! So get of your high horse. And accept that some are willing to go for the cheaper option. Optic wise these Tammy's are tested to be quite darn close performing to lenses 3x as expensive!
