Thinking about upgrading to Nikon D90, D700, or D300?

I have been shooting a D60 for 2 years & am wanting to (finally) upgrade. I'm looking at the D90, D300, D700 as far as upgrading, but I'm just not sure which is the best option. I'm mostly a wedding photographer but I'm looking at doing more studio work soon.

I would love any direction (except switch to canon comments) thanks!

How on earth can anyone do weddings with just a D60 I'll never understand. Anyway, D700 but that requires some serious step up in your photography and a good look at your lens lineup. A d90 will leave you some cash to upgrade your lenses and flashes as well.

If you want a full frame camera, the D700 is the only choice, but you will want to have some FX lenses in your system.

If most or all your lenses are DX, you will want to look at either the Nikon D300 or D7000 (replaced the D90)

D700 is the only full frame option there, but you'll need FX glass to get the best out of it. Your DX glass will still mount & work on it though, you'll just get the central portion of the lens image (the D700 effectively reverts to a 'crop' sensor when a DX is mounted) which will reduce the MP of the image.

The D90 and the D300 are both good models (I have the D300). The D90 has been replaced (just) by the D7000 and the D300 by the D300s (which shoots video). The D300 is more of a prosumer model than the D90 (no scene modes, weather sealed Mg alloy body etc) and the new D7000 is pegged in between a D90 and a D300s.

I've seen tests between the body of the D300 and the D700 to determine if the full frame really makes a difference and at lower ISO's there really isn't much in terms of image quality. Where the D700 outperforms the D300 is at high ISO - the image quality is less noisy & far more usable at high ISO with the D700.
