Nikon D800 better then Canon 5D3 for photos?

They are some what different cameras! The 5DmkIII has some distinct advantages as does the D4 and even Sony's A99. None of these cameras is best, it just depends on what you are looking for.
If you don't know the difference between, 'Than,' and, 'Then,' then a pocket compact will suit you better than either.

If you know exactly what you are doing, you can get the same picture with both cameras.
The Nikon D800 is better because:-
1. Significantly better image quality - Around 20% better image quality
2. More dynamic range
3. Much higher true resolution - 36.2 MP vs 22.1 MP
4. Lower noise at high ISO - 2, 853 ISO vs 2, 293 ISO
5. Less startup delay - 200 ms vs 500 ms
6. Built-in flash - Yes vs No
7. Slightly lighter - 900g vs 950 g - Around 10% lighter
