Nikon d4 vs canon 1dx?

I have had a canon 7d and that is my only dslr, i have 3 lenses for it. I'm considering making the change to nikon and geting the d4, i have enough to either get a nikon d4 and nikon versions of my canon lenses or i can get a canon 1dx and 1 extra lens. Not sure which to go for. I havnt had much nikon experience but i hear they are really good and i have seen good results

Added (1). George y- youre exactly right, i only have 1 EF lens but its third party so i would be starting over with lenses

First of all, here's a side-by-side spec comparison of the two cameras.

My first reaction would have been to suggest sticking with the Canon line, as you already have an investment in Canon lenses. But, after re-reading your question, I see that your current camera is an AP-C camera, and that leads me to think that you may currently have Canon EF-S lenses. EF-S lenses aren't compatible with the Canon 1Dx and you'd literally be starting over.

If you do actually migrate to the Nikon D4, you might also have a look at the D800/800e. The only possible downside with those 2 cameras is that you might also opt to buy the MB12 to go with it which will still be less expensive than the D4. Both cameras have full size FX sensors.

The Nikon D4 is slightly better than the Canon EOS 1D X. But you can't go either one of them.
