I had Nikon D4 in my hands all day and I'm not very impressed?
A had it for a test all day and… I mean the camera is not bad but it's not great either.
What camera have you been using?
What do you expect from a professional level camera?
Tell us what your expectations are and maybe someone here can point you in the right direction.
I find my old Nikon D300 and D3 cameras to be able to do all I need them to do as a working pro.
What would a "great" camera do for you?
Send it to me, I'll even pay the shipping costs.
" Not bad "? LMAO!
If you are just shooting the average everyday 'snapshot' then you shouldn't expect anything miraculous from any camera…
A camera like the D4 will outperform any entry level and enthusiast level camera when used in a demanding shoot… That's what the improved specifications, features and functions are for… They won't improve the shooting experience when you are just shooting casually.
I don't listen to criticism much about cameras… When I hear someone complaining I tend to find that most of the time they have unrealistic expectations… We keep trying to get the message across on here that even if you buy the same tennis racket as Andy Murray… It won't improve your tennis unless you practice a lot and know how to use it.
So what is your question?
Me, I'm easily impressed. My preferred brand taught me how to temper expectations.
So, what do you expect us to do about it!
If you don't like it, then don't buy one.
If you are looking for something less bulky than Nikon or Canon, try a Pentax DSLX. After a life time with Canon products, I switched to Pentax four years ago, and have no regrets!
