How about Nikon D800 36.3 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)? Where to sell it?

A camera without a lens is useless. So unless you have a couple of Nikon FX lenses lying around you won't get any use from just a camera body.

Aside from its full-frame 36.3mp sensor the other consideration is the lack of a low-pass (also known as an anti-aliasing) filter. This article explains the rationale for removing this filter:

I strongly encourage you to read all the referenced material before making a buying decision.

At http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...ovideo.com the D800E body-only is $3, 296.95.

NOTE: The Nikon D7100 also has the low-pass filter removed.

So what about it?

I mean you read the reviews, you seen the images shot with it. Go to a shop, an actual physical shop and HOLD the camera. FEEL the WEIGHT of the camera, move your fingers over the BUTTONS. You'll need to buy lenses for it, and full frame lenses are not small, cheap and light. Full frame lenses are bigger, heavier and cost quite a bit more. You need a good camera bag.a nice flash to go with it. You need to think about extra warrantees and you know all that stuff means size and weight.

Are you good enough? Did you know that a very basic starter DSLR of today has more then enough functions. Hell they nowadays shoot things like 4FPS, shoot 1080p video, have flip up screens, some even have touch screens.

You know what a D800 won't have flip up touch screen. Because those can break. Just saying. Or touch screen that can break to.
Look a D800 is equipment for a pro, and no if you you are not yet on that level you won't get the magic out of it. It is like a ferrari, you better know how to drive!

Beginnrs and advanced photographers might have a better use in the Crop Sensor DSLR's. Its cheaper. Its lighter.comes with many features that big pro cameras won't.

In the end you have to decide what you are. Are you a beginner, advanced or.a real pro. Remember that being a pro is more then having the right tools. It is also about having the right mindset. The willingness to learn, the ability to push the equipment. To really make the best use out of that 85mm F1.2. If you are not there yet there's little reason to go there yet.

You sound like a beginner. Maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm right. I suggest to look at a Nikon D5200, D7100.a Canon 700D maybe. It will give you years of learning and a pretty darn good image quality to start with.

I'm active on flickr and I have to say that I see some really great images shot with "mere crop sensor cameras"

This camera is a very nice entry level into the pro level. The images are very sharp with much more contrast than the D-80 and D-90. The shutter is much nicer, just by the sound of it you can tell it is a much more pro camera.
Price is pretty good considering what you get. The video is really nice!
