Good, affordable lenses for Nikon d800?
I just bought the Nikon d800 and I'm going to be using it for music videos mostly. What is the best lense under 100 GBP. I mostly care about the video quality and not that much about the zooming.
Can't believe you blew all that cash on a D800 just for music videos & now you have to scrimp on the lenses. The lens is THE most important part of the imaging system… Somebody didn't do their research, did they?
About all you can afford is the 50mm f1.8.
. He shoots material with Canon gear and you might learn something from the info he leaves about his clips
I'm with Briar on this one… Your question makes you seem 'inexperienced'… If image quality is your priority you should have left a chunk of your budget for better lenses… I hope you have considered your audio too… Quality audio isn't cheap either.
Here's a link to a chap whose work I like… He shoots material with Canon gear and you might learn something from the info he leaves about his clips… Enjoy: This clip was shot with a 24-70 F2.8
You have spent £1500 on a camera body and want to fit a sub £100 lens!
It makes little sense but buy a 2nd hand 50mm f/1.8 -- you should get one for £75 or so.
FX cameras can eat you alive with the cost of FX lenses. Exception, the Nikon 50mm 1.8. Other than that, pay, pay, pay big time.
You wasted your money on a DSLR. You should have bought a camcorder.
A D800 for music videos mostly?!
… Such a waste of money
