EOS 1D Mark 2 Sports Photos?

I'm buying a 60D next week, plus another camera, w/ great fps. I'm looking into the 14FPS 1DX & Nikon D4. But I'm also looking into some old canons w/ fast FPS.

I can't find any 1d mark 2 pictures. Can someone refer me a link to some shots from the 1D mark 2?

If you are depending upon a fast continuous shooting rate to improve your sports shots, you will probably become frustrated. You will end up with three to four times the number of images you would get if you shot at the peak of action and timing your shots based upon your knowledge of the sport and teams you shoot.

This sample shot was done without continuous shooting.

We who shoot sports for a living, value quality over quantity. It is difficult enough editing (sorting) through well timed shots for the top three to five shots and meeting deadlines. I can only imagine trying to sort through hundreds of them in just a few minutes

All you need is your 60D… Actually, a used 50D would be better.

You don't need a 1DX, D4, or any 1D series camera. What you NEED is to actually learn how to time your shots instead of expecting a fast camera to take good pictures.

Here is a shot of mine taken w/ a 1DII - The color is off (because of photobucket)

Fhotoace is probably right about the time it takes for a pro to sort through an over abundance of photos however for me a professional carpenter taking photos of my boy's baseball games I get to relive the game as I sort through them. Check out this series. My boy pitched 9 innings that day and this was the third out in the bottom of the ninth. Final score 3-2. We won.

This is just before things started to happen in the ninth. I was concentrating on getting the scoreboard so much I cut off his feet.

Anticipation is far much better than the fastest fps rate in dSLR's.

The D4 is lightyears ahead of the 1D mark 2. No comparison. If you can afford the D4, get it.
