Does the Nikon D3 have a backup battery?

Does the Nikon D3 have a backup battery?
Like the D700?
I'd be the biggest bummer if not cause my camera just died and I only have the backup battery charger.

You can compare the two cameras here---

What do you mean by "backup battery"? All DSLR's have a small long-life battery built in to keep time/date as well as the basic settings the photographer has selected. The battery to operate the camera is the removable rechargeable one that uses the external charger.
A D700, like my D300, only has the one removable battery, and another in the battery grip, if you have one.
Here's a webpage with info about the D3, it's battery, and charger.

And here's the same info about the D700.

FYI, if you're shooting a professional camera like the D3, you seriously need to get very familiar with it. Read the manual, read the manual, read the manual.
