Depends on the state of charge. If fully discharged, probably around 2 or 3 hours. When the indicator on the charger stop blinking, the battery is fully charged.

Do what most of us do.

The night before we plan to use the camera, we place the battery in the charger. Nikon chargers will NOT allow the battery to overcharge or overheat during the charging cycle

Just leave it charging overnight. The charger will automatically stop when it's done.

You know, that information is in the camera's Instructions Manual, as well as the charger's Instructions Manual. Really. They also tell you what pitfalls or situations to look out for, and great recommendations and suggestions to help you have a more enjoyable photography experience. How quickly or slowly a battery will charge will depend on the degree it is discharged. It's difficult to tell but your camera indicator would tell you that.

Most of us here have an extra battery for each camera we own, and we make certain it's always charged; we're constantly checking on the charge status. It becomes a habit and we often don't even think about doing it; we just DO IT.

Several hours, at a guess. But the info is in the handbook. And the charger shows when charging is complete.
