Critique My Lens Choices?
I know with full frame you have to be a bit more careful, and I'm thinking (thinking being the key word) of getting the D700. I currently have a Canon, so I'm a little lost.
I'm looking for professional quality. I know the lengths are what I want, but I want to make sure they're high quality lenses. I know Canon photogs really emphasize that you need the best glass on full frame because of the sensor (and who wants cheap glass on a nice camera, right?).
So right now I have the Nikon 50mm f/1.4G, 85mm f/1.8D (I know there's the f/1.4 version out, but I don't need it if I can avoid it), and 105mm f/2.8G on the list, as well at the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 (I don't expect to use it much, but want something… I'm familiar with this lens and it's great for the price).
Are these good enough? Will they do the camera justice, or will I look silly having these on the D700?
So are you switching camera brands? Ouch…
I would personally stick with one, so you don't end up re-buying gear.
But yes, those are great lens, but you didn't tell us what you are planning on shooting. I'm assuming portraits?
Add a wide angle zoom 14-24mm f-2.8 and perhaps a telephoto zoom 28-300mm
