Mount camera on tripod.
Have in aperture priority & set required aperture (usually something like f11-f16 for landscapes).
Set up Auto Exposure Bracketing on the function button by going to Custom Setting Menu>f Controls>f4>Assign FUNC button>FUNC button + dials>BKT
Now when you press(& hold) the FUNC button you can adjust the number of frames over/under exposed (F - adjust by turning the rear thumbwheel) and the number of stops under/over (in 1/3 stop increments) - adjust by turning the front thumbwheel.
Set release to CL or CH (for burst mode) & press (& hold) the shutter button it will automatically take the number of exposures you specified.
Import images into HDR software of choice.
Deep blue is correct. Nikon's 5100 and 5200 are the only models that have in-camera HDR, which I've found comes in handy sometimes.
