Hi, i want to buy a nikon d800 and i specially shoot babies and children and sometimes the best shots ever comes while they're moving, playing or jumping so i need a lens to capture perfect shots while this motion and to feel that the picture is stable… Thanks for help.

If you do not know enough to figure out the best lens for your camera then you are not ready to buy a Nikon D800.

*Your language would also suggest that what you want to do, and what you are currently doing are not one and the same.

Have you considered the other kit you would need to make the purchase suitable for your goals - props, lighting, stands, tripods, etc?

Sorry, I'm not trying to be awkward, but there's so much more to what you are talking about then just buying a great camera and chucking a lens on the end of it!

What kind of distance will you be from the children?

the lens is, like the camera, a tool… The "perfect shots" come from the photographers ability to use the camera and lens properly… If your skills and experience are lacking, then the shots will be poor and not meet your requirements…

a good lens might be a 35mm f/1.8 or 50mm f/1.2… But your budget will help you decide…

Google it or go to the library and find the nearest camera club and then ask one of them… There i always some kind person who is willing to tell you the best Lens and or Camera to get of course each person will like one Camera more than another so the CHOICE will be up to you in the end.

The 24-70 mm f/2.8 may be the best starting lens until you become familiar with shooting a fully adjustable lens and the fundamentals of photography

If money's no object (might I assume this, if you're after the D800?), then I would get a 24-70mm f2.8 and a 70-200mm f2.8 for best image quality of candids of the kiddies, although I predict quite a few lens changes. The 70-200 is also decent for portraits on a full frame like the D800. If an all-in-one lens for all situations is something you'd like to get, you could choose the 28-300mm lens, although don't expect great image quality, and it's not that good for portraits. Practice makes perfect. Happy shopping.

I agree with Crim Liar. Either you are really stupid and rich or you are just a wishful dreamer.
