Nikon SLR Cameras

Any good photography cameras?

I need a good, nice, affordable photography camera to start with. I recently just broke my camera, and I need a new one. Any suggestions? I have a budget of 518$ because I just returned the Nikon D300. Anything? I'm willing to buy on Ebay, or whatever! It doesn't matter if it's not a Nikon, it could be a Cannon? Or does anybody know where I could get a cheap Nikon D3100?

I would suggest a Nikon D70, it's a very versatile little thing. On ebay I was able to buy one with a 70-300mm lens, with a tripod, an external flash, a carrying bag, and all sorts of little bells and whistles for about $450. Because if you're on a budget of 518, you COULD spend all of your money on just the camera, but then you limit yourself to what photo opportunities you can have because of a lack of a tripod/interesting filters/external flashes. The D70 is also able to take infrared photos with the filter, and the newer, more expensive cameras are doing everything they can to block invisible light(infrared) so they don't have those capabilities.

Some of the DSLRs with kit lens that costs under $518 includes the Sony A230, A290, A390, Canon Xs, and Nikon D3000.

The cheapest price for a D3100 (at a store that seems legit) I can find is around $600 here: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=A4135237&cs=19&c=us&l=en&dgc=SS&cid=27530&lid=627063

At well known online camera stores, they sell for $640.

If you find anything lower than $600, it's most likely a scam.
