Will this old nikon lens be compatible with the new nikon d3100 camera? (picture)?
So it would be pretty fantastic if this old lens ( which costed my mom 600 dollars some 10 years ago) is compatible with the new nikon cmamera( d3100)
Heres my old lens;

Is there anyway you can tell?
Well for one, it's a very slow lens, at f/4.5-6.7
and the model of that lens is:
sigma 100-300mm f 4.5-6.7 dl
You can do some researching and see if the mount of the lens YOU have is made for Nikon DSLR.
Btw, does it fit on your D3100? Did you try it?
Yes, it will fit ONLY IF it is a lens made for Nikon. The problem that i see is that it probably will not autofocus, so you are going to have to manually focus- which is quite fun
