Will my memory stick Pro HG duo work with a Nikon d5000?

I already have the memory card which cost a lot more than your average walmart memory card, so i would hate to find out that its no longer useful. I'm about to buy a Nikon D5000 DSLR camera. Will my memory card work in the camera?

The Nikon D5000 takes SD cards - so that is what you will need.

No.
Those memory cards only work on Sony products
As of January 2010, Sony started including a slot for SD/SDHC cards in their cameras.
The cost of SD cards are so low, don't let having a a few old, obsolete, proprietary memory cards
Memory Sticks have always cost more than the more universal SD/SDHC cards.
