Will a sigma zoom 100 - 300mm lens fit a nikon D3100?
I've just been given sigma zoom 100 - 300mm lens BUT I have no idea it will work with it or not?
Is there any way i can make it work if it isn't compatible?
It should, maybe needing converters, but I want to ask you, is this the lens? ( http://www.amazon.com/...000A7B9SU/ )? You were given a lens over $1, 000 dollars hen you have a camera under $500? Quite curious…
If it's Nikon fit, yes.
If it's MF, it won't meter, and if it isn't an HSM type, it won't autofocus, though.
If it is Nikon mount it should fit. If it is not, it probably can't be adapted. Nikon's lens mount is narrower than most. That means that the Nikon lenses can often be adapted to others like Canon, but the Nikon bodies can't be adapted to receive lenses with other mounts.
