Why can't I change f-stops in my camera?
I have Nikon d70s with 28-300mm lens and i can only use the highest f-stop (22). Whenever i go below F33 is flashing on the screen. Can i do something to change the f-stops?
You can't use the aperture ring of a D-type CPU lens to adjust the aperture on a modern DSLR. Put your camera in A mode, and use the command dials on the camera to change the aperture or shutter speed. You ever try reading the instruction manual? You should. In fact, it should be the FIRST thing you do (if you're clueless, most people can just figure it out because it isn't rocket science). If you don't have one, you can go on the nikon USA website and download the.pdf for free here: http://support.nikonusa.com/...hotography Every question you can ever come up with is covered in the user's manual.
The answer to you question would be painfully obvious if you would bother to read the user manual for your camera.
Oh dear, Another person who has bought something and not bothered even picking up the user instruction manual let alone reading it.
Reading the manual is, of course, too much trouble. Shame really because that tells you where to set the aperture on your camera.
