Which slr camera is best in nikon?

The D90 is a higher end model. It has fancier features including a brighter pentaprism and an autofocus motor. The D3100's 14 MP sensor is newer than the 12 MP sensor of the D90. However, the D3100's sensor has a base ISO of 100 while the D90's has a base ISO of 200, so I don't know if the D3100's has a performance advantage. The new 16MP sensor of the D5100 and D7000 is another story, with a leg up on the older D90.
