Which lenses and which camera bag for Egypt?

We're taking a 1 week school trip to Egypt and I'm planning to bring my Nikon D5000 with me.

I have a 18-55 mm standard DX AF-S kit lens, but I also plan on purchasing a 35 mm DX prime for Christmas.

Do you think I'd need a zoom lens (Something along the lines of 50-200, 18-105/200) for this trip? We're going to visiting the desert, taking boat rides on the nile, and visiting various culturally significant areas. (And the pyramids!)

I've been considering some camera bags and these are some that caught my eyes.
-Domke F-3x
-Crumple Million dollar house series

Anybody have suggestions over which bag I should get?

I only have 1 camera body, no grip, and a max of 2-3 lenses and flash.

Having done a lot of traveling for my job I'd recommend either an 18-200 or 28-200 lens.
And this bag… I own one and it's great.
