Which dslr is better?

I'm chosing between nikon d90 or canon 50d.both great cameras, but which of these is better?
if some of you will say 50d, which lens would be a good lens for it, the 17-85mm or 28-135mm?
Added (1). Whoa this is though, hehehe.
ok so canon has more pixels, it's also faster with 6.3fps and even better body quality, but some says d90.
what's in the d90 that makes it better? Video? What else?

Nikon d90. I have it and it is amazing.

Asking which is better is like asking which restaurant is better, everybody has their own opinions. The best thing to do is go to your local camera store (not electronics store) and try each of the cameras out and see which one feels better to you. At the camera store you can walk around trying it out without the camera being chained to a counter and it's a great time to test the different lenses to see which suits your needs better.
As far as lenses go, it depends on what you plan on shooting. Always buy the best/fastest (lower f/stop number) lenses that you can afford. I normally recommend starting out with a telephoto and a 50mm f/1.4 (or a f/1.8).
If you would decide to go with Canon the best advice I can give is that it's actually best to buy the EF series lenses, that way if you upgrade your camera, the lenses will work fine. BUT never try to put an EF-S lens on an EF only camera. The S is for "short back focus", which means that the rear element of the lens is closer to the image sensor than on a regular lens.

It honestly depends on what you will be shooting.
If you shoot sports, 50D. Since it has 6.3 FPS as compared to the D90's 4.5 FPS.
Also, the 50D is made out off metal. The D90 is all plastic. So the 50D will be much stronger, bigger, and heavier.
However, if you take videos, the D90 does take 720P hd video. The 50D has no video mode at all.
Typically speaking, Canon has better video than Nikon. So If you were looking to do videos, but you still want to take pictures, you should look at a T2i, or the new 60D. (both Canon).
