Nikon SLR Cameras

Which DSLR is better for me?

I'm upgrading DSLR's and I need to know which camera is best for me. I know how to work a camera and all the settings so please don't be rude.

Nikon d7000 - I would already have a few lenses for this
Canon 550d - I would have to buy w/ kit lens and use that for a while.

I shoot portraits, landscapes, sports, etc.

Which one is better for me?

Added (1). I also need the camera to be sturdy and feel very professional.

I used to love H.E.R

D7000… Its overall better then 550D.leaving out all the other technicalities…

D7000 is very professional with magnesium alloy body and weather guard. Also its lowlight noise performance is much better than 550D for the same ISO…

also new D7000 has got the Set1-set2 modes unlike older nikons of the same range.Go for d7000.

D7000, the lenses should settle the issue; and its crazy 39 AF points with 3D tracking may be quite useful for sports. Or you could save some money and get a D90.

It would be very helpful to know what camera you currently use, what exactly you find lacking about it, and what lenses you own though.

Since you already own several Nikon lenses it would make sense to go with another Nikon DSLR body.

Nikon would be better since you already have lenses to start, plus I heard that nikon sell more lense choices.

I also recommend anyone looking into buying any camera, especially dslr's visit this site first, it really helped me choose what I needed and is un-biased when it comes to brands, he will just help make an informed decision.
