Which DSLR is best for sports shots?

I'm currently looking at 3 camera options. The Nikon D3000, Sony A230, and the Sony A290. I want one good for night shooting but i especially want one that can do action shots like photographing sports and stuff.

In this case, dslr, the camera has nothing to do with it. It's the lenses you choose, simple as that.
I'd suggest you do some serious reading about lenses, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, all that sort of thing before buying any lenses.

Yea I agree with that other answer it isn't really about the camera you buy, but it is about the lenses i suggest getting a lenses that has a Maximum aperture like f/1.4 or f/2.8 and if your going to do sports photography you should really look into this for the lenses you need, but be warned it isn't cheap, but the cheapest place to get all your camera gear is bhphoto.com
