Which DSLR Camera, needs external mic port?

I'm looking at getting a DSLR camera, but am a bit stuck!
I'm currently at uni doing a film course, so I need one that has an external mic port.
I was looking at the Canon D3100 and the Nikon 1100D, but neither of these have the external mic port.
My budget is up to £350 at a push.

You've got your camera names backwards. The D3100 is a Nikon and the 1100D is the Canon. Perhaps if you figure that out first…

The Canon t4i has external audio but it's running about £500+. Other than camcorders there are no inexpensive cameras with external audio.
