You are going to have to find it used. Anyone selling it to you new at the price is giving you a refurbished or damaged camera. Samys camera has it for $579 with a rebate.

You can get a factory demo one for $450 on Cameta Camera.

The only dirt cheap Nikon is either broken, or stolen… Average cost with the kit lens is $600.
