Where to buy used DSLR camera in Toronto?

I'm planing to buy a DSLR from atleast past 1 year (but could not due to money issues) but I'm really wanna have a DSLR so I thought why not to buy a used one.

I'm living in Toronto and I have very small budget (300$ to 350$ max) to buy a DSLR. Can someone please suggest me that Can I buy any entry level DSLR with that much money and if so, then from where I can buy that (is buying from ebay.com suggested?).

I heard about Nikon D40 (that it is the cheapest one ), is it a right choice to buy that one.
