I have a nikon D3200 and I really began to love photography and thinking of getting a job for photography. So i would like to learn more about it and become a prof in photgraphy. So do you know any popular websites that teaches photography?

You can sometimes get online courses, but I can't remember what they are called… Just keep a look out… I would love to do one as well

Kelby training (just renamed itself to Kelby One) has tons of material on photography and photoshop. It might be a bit advanced for a total beginner though, so firstly get some books on the absolute basics of photography and once you've gone through those, go check out Kelby.

Then, when you've been at it for a few years and you think you're getting the hang of it, go to Ming Thein's site (just google his name). There's an absolute ton of free information on there and he also does excellent training videos for sale. They would be wasted on you at the moment, but when the time comes they are very useful.

I'm 'Old School'… I reckon the best way to learn is to 'get a feel'… Read a photography guide book, get a quick idea of what the controls do, make sure that I can 'grasp' (understand) what the camera is capable of doing and then go out and 'experiment'… Success comes after you have experienced 'failure'… You can't improve, if you haven't made an 'attempt' in the first place…

Honestly I have nothing against 'websites' that 'teach' photography… They are great and might suit some people who don't like books… Everything in small doses though… Get out there and get some practice in… Photography isn't the easiest hobby or interest to 'master'… It's very rewarding when you do though.

You can start by visiting these two websites

One will show you how to balance ISO, shutter speed and lens aperture

The other will discuss image composition.

Start with these steps and then start spending time looking at the way light falls on a subject as you move around it with the same light source lighting the subject.

Be patient, since it can take years to learn how to use your camera under many different lighting conditions and how to choose the right focal length lens for the shot.

The best way to learn the fundamentals of photography is to take a couple of classes at your community college. What those classes have that online classes don't is an instructor you can ask for clarification and your fellow students you can sit with and discuss the lecture to get better insight into the goal of the lesson. Perhaps the most important part is that during critique of your images for each assignment, you will see how other students interpreted the assignment and learn how to critique their work as well as your own. Unless you know what elements make a brilliant shot, you will become frustrated when looking at your work.
