Where can i find a Cheap NIKON D1500 camera?
Hi, i really need a new camera as i'm going travelling, and i need a new camera for all my work.one of my mates has a NIKON D5100. And its great! But i've looked in argos, and a few stores and it goes up to at least £600! I know its an expensive camera but my parents aren't going to spend this much! Can anybody search and help me find a cheap one but it has to be a NIKON D5100 thanks:-)

Grace, the problem with DSLRs is that the camera is just the start of the expense. To get the most from a camera such as the Nikon D5100 you'll need the money to invest in additional lenses many of which will cost more than the camera!

Not trying to poo-poo the idea, just being realistic!

You are fine with the stock lens with this camera, just be careful when taking videos as there can be high levels of noise in mid-low light. Also it is a loud lens, and the mic normally pics up the noise of the focus when recording.

But buy it anyway, because in a while you'll be able to get a better, faster lens. The picture quality is excellent. Don't settle for anything less, as you'll kick yourself when you realize that you it is worth it in the long term.

£600 is a very good price for this camera - you won't find lower unless it's broken or stolen.

The D3000 is about half that, and perfectly competent.
