What's better? Canon 7D, Pentax k5 or nikon d7000?

Find a dealer who'll let you handle them and work it out for yourself. Don't close your mind to Sony (better video) or Olympus (smaller and lighter) at this stage either.

The best camera in the world is worthless if the controls are awkward and you spend more time working out what you want to do than shooting - so check how they feel in YOUR hands.

They're all top-level but I think the K5 is the oldest among the three. Cost-wise however, the K5 wins hands down. I say we pour a bucket of water over them and get the surviving camera.
