What would you rather get for christmas?

An iPad 2 or a Nikon D5100 DSLR camera?

I had been wanting the iPad 2 for the past year after seeing my mom with her iPad but recently I saw the Nikon D5100 and I ended up being adamant about it for the past month since I have a passion for photography. But then, I feel like the need for it has faded and I can't decide whether I want my mom to get me the iPad 2 or the camera. They are both in the same price range, so I was wondering; which should I get?

You can do more with the ipad than with the camera.

I would prefer the Nikon DSLR Camera.

iPad is a waste of money. So very overpriced IMO.

Go for the camera as you can save memories learn how to use dslr cameras better and sell photos for money for iPad maybe.

Nikon D5100 camera that way I can use it to take pics on Christmas day: D

1: Steal your moms ipad (3:) mqwuahhaha)
2: Buy both
3: Buy the camera, and ask your partner, mom, dad, whatever to get the ipad2 for your birthday, xmas, any occasion.
