What would be the best portrait lens for the Nikon D7000?

I decided to do studio photography and I'm planning on buying the Nikon D7000 when it comes out.
So my question is: what would be the best portrait lens for it?
I know there's a close up lens where you can only capture the face or the shoulders of the model.
But What I want is the whole subject(body) Like modeling pictures!
Indoor and Out door lenses.

Any medium telephoto lens like the 50 mm f/1.8, 50 mm f/1.4 or 60 mm f/2.8 will do the job.

Without a doubt the best portrait lens:

Of course that's $1700
Whole body a 50mm f1.4 would do and some working distance

I hear people talk about using a 1.8 or 1.4 50mm or 85mm all the time, but from the reviews I have heard this f/2.0 105mm nikon DC lens give you the greatest degree of creative control for portraits. Harder to use then a simple 1.8 or 1.4 prime, but it is much more powerful with patience.

Best lenses for studio work are;
Primes
50mm f1.8 or 1.4
85mm f1.8
Zooms
24-70mm f2.8
70-200mm f2.8

How big is your studio going to be?
You might want to stick with the kit lens for a while to find out which focal length you use the most for your portrait photography, then buy a prime lens that is very close to that focal length for your future use.
My 2¢

Go with Nikon 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor Lens
I'm a beginner to DSLR and wanted to play with macro photography, and am really pleased with the results of this lens--crisp, light-weight, economic, and reliable. I manual focus on such intricate shots as reflections on water drops and have never been disappointed with the results.
