What to pack for Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Gettysburg?
I'm a girl and i'm 13 and its a school trip and I don't no what type of weather there's.we're staying for 5 days. And we're going in march 27- march 31. What type of clothes should I pack and also could you explain the 1-quart baggie rule thing for flying? And for myy carry on, do I still have to hav liquids under 3 oz. And does my 1-quart baggie have to be in my suitcase or can it be in my carry on? And does it rain? How much make up should I bring? I know these are a lot of questions but I need answers.oh and can I hav my fone on during the flight or do I hav to turn it off cuz I hav internet on my fone? And can I bring a camera with me in my carry on, its a nikon d5100 or something.
The weather in that area can be variable in late March - sometimes it's still very cold with snow on the ground, while other times it will be nice and springlike (50s-60s).It may or my not be rainy. It's best to watch the weather as you get closer to your trip and decide what you should pack then. Plan for comfortable clothes and shoes. As for make-up, that certainly depends on how much you generally wear.
Liquids when flying - the restrictions only apply to your carry-on bag. You can have any size liquids/gels in your checked bag, and they don't have to be in a baggie or anything. For your carry-on, liquids/gels have to be in containers 3oz or smaller in size, and they all have to be in that 1qt ziploc baggie. They will have you take that baggie out of your carry-on during security so that it can be scanned separately. This will include things like lotion, chapstick, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, etc.
All electronics, including phones, need to be turned off during take-off and again at landing. They will tell you when you can turn them back on, but you have to turn off the wireless signal to devices like phones and computers (airplane mode). Your camera will be fine to bring in your carry-on.
If you go to http://www.tsa.gov/...ww.tsa.gov they will explain the cary on rules for flying. Late March? Typically varied. You could even get snow that late. We do have Skiing in NE PA in the Poconos. Yes, it rains too. The Phone? Most airlines will have you turn it off in flight. Yes, it is fine as a carry on. So pack a Sweater, Some good shoes for walking, a coat, Casual wear & at least one dress for any formal dinner events. Weather is about the same in all 3.
